Purchase Landscape Fabric Here
Our Landtex landscape fabric provides an effective solution for weed control that gets rid of the need for dangerous chemicals and weed killer. The weed control fabric allows air, water and vital nutrients to reach your soil while preventing weeds from accessing the light they need to grow. This fabric is a heavy duty and durable barrier, and can be used for suppressing weeds in areas of garden, decking, paving, and more.
To install our landscape fabric, remove all weeds from the area, cut your fabric to the correct size, level the soil, and lay over the surface, securing the material with pegs. If desired, you can then cover the membrane with a layer of mulch, decorative stones, woodchips, etc. at a minimum layer size of 50mm. You can even plant through the fabric by making a clean cut with a blade – Landtex fabric is non-fraying, so this won’t damage the look of the material or landscape.
Our Landtex professional landscape fabric is a thicker alternative to our Weedtex weed control fabric, providing heavy duty control in most types of landscape projects with a durable, thick layer and high tensile strength.
Landtex is an eco-friendly weed control solution as it can effectively prevent weeds, without the need to use harsh chemicals.
How Does Landtex Fabric Control Weeds?
Landtex allows nutrients (including liquid feed and fertilisers), water and air to permeate creating a healthy and fertile soil, whilst preventing weeds and weed seeds from getting the sunlight they need to grow with an effective weed barrier.
This means that you don’t need to introduce harmful chemicals into your outdoor space to meet your gardening needs, keeping your other plants safe and healthy, and reducing any negative impact on the environment.
How Do You Install Landscape Fabric?
To install Landtex fabric in your garden, simply remove all existing weeds and vegetation from the desired area, level out the soil, cut the fabric with a sharp utility knife and lay down over the soil surface to cover, and secure with staples or pegs.
You can then cover Landtex with a minimum 50mm top layer of bark, organic mulch, rounded cobbles/decorative stone, gravel, pine needles or wood chips. Planting through Landtex is easy and clean, with no fraying when a slit is cut, so you can prevent unwanted plants while keeping desirable plants visible and healthy.
