Why this tool came to market
Lifting a manhole cover should be one of the easiest jobs for an engineer, or so you would think. Over the years we have seen increases in the different designs of manhole covers from large, medium and small. Different eyelets have also been introduced to include, t-slots, screw covers, side entry slots, triangular. The market has many useful tools for lifting manhole covers such as manhole keys, hydraulic manhole cover lifting frames but there are not many tools in the middle market to suit the stuck fast covers. The covers that need that little nudge. We all know of someone who has had there driveway paved and then cannot lift the block paved manhole cover. This little compact tool sits right in the middle ground dominating its own place offering no competition and a price many people will find attractive.
Who will buy this product?
Many industries such as water, telecoms, general public, builders, maintenance, surveyors etc, the list goes on. This product is for small domestic covers and will not open every stuck manhole cover and access chamber. There are more tougher and expensive Hydraulic lifters on the market. We are offering a solution to remove stubborn stuck fast covers. This kit is very handy although not the greatest. Common sense must be used and if the kit does not lift the stubborn cover then move to the large hydraulic type.
