Our wooden stakes are best for just about all types of fencing such as garden fences, cable fencing, agricultural structures, animal fences, boundaries and farm areas. These stakes are generally used to secure galvanised animal stock fencing, wire mesh, galvanised steel rabbit fencing, chicken wire, wire netting and plastic garden meshes.

Tanalised / Stress Treatment
Pressure or tanalised treated timber are two names given to describe the process; in which lumber undergoes a chemical treatment to keep the wood. Commonly create the wood more resilient to rot, fungus, mould, insect attack and harsh weather conditions and this practice is used to increase life expectancy. All of our wooden fencing posts are tanalised treated to ensure they are protected for several years.
The major active ingredient in the treatment procedure is called Tanalith E which is one of the most popular and commonly used brands of wood preservative, thus the name “tanalised treatment”. The wood is still safe and can be trimmed and used around children and animals, which makes it perfect for both applications although this is a chemical treatment.
Please note that there are choices to tanalised treatment. It’s still currently using preservatives without the vacuum. Dip treatment will not offer the degree of protection or life expectancy as tanalised treated wood.
There is also UC4 treated wood that’s a more advanced treatment, offering slightly superior protection to treatment that is tanalised. We do offer UC4 posts in pallet quantities, please contact us.
