Universal Dry Verge – Roof Verge
What is Dry Verge?
The universal dry verge system is designed for profiled roof tiles as a strong, aesthetically pleasing and weather resistant roof verge system as an alternative to using wet mortar bedding.
Robust and weather resistant, this dry verge is a game changer if you are looking for a long lasting, low maintenance roof verge.
What is Dry Verge Used For?
The universal dry verge system is designed to be used with large format and interlocking concrete profile tile and is suitable for most pitched roofs ranging from 15°-55°. It can be used with or without fascia boards. It is ideal for new builds and refurbishment projects to offer a neat and clean edge that will eliminate the worry of birds and pests getting in.
How to Fix Continuous Dry Verge?
Installation of universal dry verge is easy peasy!
- Make sure that your tiles are aligned and secure
- Install a timber batten along the edge of the roof flush with the tiles to give you a solid base to attach your dry verge
- Start from the bottom and attach the dry verge units to the batten, locking them into place as you move upwards
- Ensure each unit overlaps the one below by at least 100mm it to create a watertight seal.
- Secure the units with screws or nails following the manufacturers guidelines
- When you get to the top, cap it off with an end cap for a neat finish
- Et voila! You have a robust weather resistant verge that will withstand the elements and last for years!
