Why a square gutter?
Generally, people install a square gutter to give their house a slightly different style – and there are plenty of more modern properties that look great with a square profile gutter system.
It’s worth noting that square line guttering also gives a slightly larger capacity when compared to half round systems – so in areas where there’s an especially heavy rainfall or large amounts of snow, square line guttering can offer an advantage.
Fitting square gutter brackets
These square gutter brackets mount directly onto the fascia board of the property you’re working on – they should be the first part of the system you install – with a bracket sitting around 100mm – 150mm from the end of the run – which will also be the highest part.
From this starting point, you should ensure that you allow for a fall of around 3mm for every 1,000mm of guttering – with brackets mounted around every 1,000mm or within 100mm – 150mm of any bends or angles.
When you’re happy that you’ve got your locations measured out correctly, the brackets will attach to the gutters using the 3 pre-drilled holes on the rear.
