If you’ve got a downpipe that doesn’t run directly into an underground drainage system, chances are you’ll need a shoe to channel your water into the drain or away from the property.

Fitting downpipe shoes:

As the final part of a guttering installation, fitting a shoe is quick and easy – usually taking less than 30 seconds. With your 68mm round downpipe cut to length, the shoe simply pushes into place. When in place, it’s worth backing it off by a couple of millimetres – just to allow for an expansion and contraction.

There should be no need for lubricants or glues to secure the shoe, however it can be applied if necessary.
