All sockets include a captive pre-lubricated ring seal (we would advise having some additional pipe lubricant handy when installing as this can be sometimes be removed in transit) and are kitemarked to BS-EN1401.

Fitting single socket pipes

When you’re working with underground drainage system components to connect to sewer systems, you need to make sure your pipes and seals are free from dirt, grit, and other debris before making a connection. As such, it’s vital that you make sure everything is contaminate free before push-fitting the junctions or branches you’re working with.

When you have done so, the connections will be made quickly and easily – and internal shoulders make sure you don’t over-insert your run of plain pipe. Of course, it’s important to remember to pull the join back out by a couple of mm when the connection is made – allowing for expansion and contraction through the stack.
