Buy Terram Geotextile Membrane Non-Woven In Custom Sizes
Please note that as of 15/07/2019 we have changed suppliers and we will now be supplying the Lotrak 100 Geotextile instead. It is a higher quality product than the previous Terram. Is used for all of the same purposes but is slightly higher in spec. Lotrack 100 is a direct alternative to Terram T1000.
Terram is an Geotextile Membrane separator under materials that are selected, and for trench or liner french drains. Terram is a geotextile membrane with industry leading hydraulic and technical properties to deal with all requirements of filtration and separation. This geotextile membrane’s use is to protect against the loss of building aggregates. Terram standard geotextile membranes improve the performance and design life of granular layers by supplying the filtration and separation capabilities. Typical uses for Terram standard geotextiles include floor stabilisation (involving the sub-base and substrate) used next to drainage materials.
Preventing granular materials and soils from mixing:
Terram geotextile membranes provide an effective remedy to the problem of building a stable granular layer over soft foundation soils. When stone is placed directly on a soft sub grade, the imposed load often causes intermixing of two layers. This causes contamination of the stone layer and a consequent loss in bearing strength, surface rutting and deformation in the sub-base/sub grade interface.
Stopping the ingress of fines into drainage systems:
When it is a granular drain or a geosynthetic option such as open geocellular units, Terram standard geotextiles are excellent for preventing the ingress of fines.
Terram filters/separators are used in the building of:
- Paved and unpaved roads
- Car parks and hardstandings
- Cycleways and footpaths
- SuDS installations
- Green roofs
- Proven separator functionality
- Outstanding filtration capacities
- Acceptable for soakaway crate systems
- Acceptable for land drainage
