Why do you need soil access?

In many cases, access to a soil stack is vital. The problem is, it’s not always viable to replace an existing 160mm push-fit soil fitting with a dedicated access section. Access points do away with this need by converting an unused push fit soil socket in the stack – creating an access point for rodding or testing wherever needed.

Fitting

As with other push fit components, fitting an access point to a soil system couldn’t be easier. If the socket you’re working with is currently blanked off or connected to another run, simply remove the cap or connection – then push the access plug into the ring seal fitting.

Manufacturing tolerances sometimes make for a tight fit – so if this is the case, some silicone lubricant around the access point means it will glide into place.

Opening the cap

When the time comes to open the cap for either rodding or testing – the watertight cap screws off by hand.
