Buy a 110mm Non Return Valve. Anti Flood Basement Valves
At EasyMerchant, we can provide a 110mm Non Return Valve intended to prevent water backing up into a property through a drainage pipe – particularly useful if you’ve got areas which sit beneath the backwater level.
Please note: while the terms ‘non return valve’ and ‘check valves’ are often used interchangeably, the two products are distinct. A check valve meets more rigorous construction standards – so check carefully to make sure a non return value is suitable for the job you’re working on.
If you need a more specialist valve – or a valve in a size not listed on our website, we’ll almost certainly be able to source it for you at an exceptional price. Get in touch using our instant chat service and we’ll help you track down your part.
Fitting a backwater valve in your home or property
Since our backwater valves come compatible with simple push-fit connections, they can be quickly installed into your stack with minimal knowledge and effort. The 110mm non return valve is 300mm long, so you just need to make sure you have ample space in your stack and that you’re installing the valve where it will be most effective.
How exactly does the non return valve work?
Although cost-effective and fairly simple in operation, a non return valve has the potential to save your property from considerable damage through the back flow of water/sewerage – and it does so with a flap that operates under the pressure of the water passing out of the property.
While water is flowing from the house, the spring mounted stainless steel flap opens – preventing fluid building up in the home. While this flow of water is present, it remains open -but when the flow of water stops – or water pressure is applied from the other side, the stainless steel flap closes, sealing the property off.
Each 100mm non return valve is UK made and kitemarked for your peace of mind
Flooding is a hot topic in the United Kingdom – and while we can’t control rainfall, we can prevent excess water entering a building through the drainage system – but we understand that you need peace of mind that the materials you use will be up to the job. This is why we only provide UK-made fully kitemarked products, so you can be sure they’ll get the job done.
