This 470mm plastic manhole chamber is the bottom part of a plastic manhole chamber. It sits below the ground level to the required depth and the riser sections are then attached to bring it up to the ground level where a manhole lid would be installed on top.

The base is made from polypropylene and has 5 inlets and one outlet, each with a rubber seal to accept the spigot end of a drainage pipe or bend. All side inlets come with a blanking plug attached as standard. Simply remove the blanking plug to attach the pipe. The inlets and outlet are most commonly 110mm however one of the variation of this base has a one 160mm inlet and outlet to connect to our 160mm drain pipe.

Suitable for use with other underground drainage products in our range of manhole covers / inspection chamber fittings.

A range of options to suit your underground drainage job

The 470mm chambers are acceptable for depths of 3000mm so long as the appropriate reducing ring is used beneath the manhole cover after 1.2mts.

The 470mm Bases are fine for installation to a degree invert depth of 1200mm. The 470mm bases include 5 inlets.
