Inspection chambers – otherwise known as manhole covers – are an important part of any drainage system. However, your inspection chamber won’t always sit at the level required – so we provide inspection chamber risers in either 320mm or 470mm to make sure your manhole cover surfaces exactly where it’s needed.

Installation

Should you need to cut the inspection chamber riser to the size that works for your job – you can – you’ll be able to quickly adjust it using a fine-tooth saw.

To connect the riser to your existing inspection chamber (available from the category page linked above) you will need to fit a manhole riser seal to the bottom of the inspection chamber riser which will then allow you to simply push your riser into the top of your inspection chamber and create a water-tight seal. To add additional risers, repeat the process of adding a manhole riser seal to the bottom of your next inspection chamber riser and push this into the top of the previous riser.

Please note: if you create an inspection chamber which exceeds 1,200mm – you’ll need to fit a chamber reducing ring to ensure compliance with building regulations.
